The Grass Roots put on a great show!

Rob Grill & The Grass Roots

Mariann & John visited Laughlin, Nevada to see the Grass Roots concert. We met the lead singer Rob Grill for an autograph. Rob, sixty-something, still has a great voice!

What we've been doing.... (1/28/2008)

Mariann continues to travel throughout Arizona training the employees of National Bank of Arizona. When she is in town, she usually is teaching a class at the Bank's home office or she is working on projects to upgrade or create new training materials.

I have been at TTI Performance Systems for over three years now. I am happy with my decision to join TTI and I can see that the company is solid and the staff is dedicated to producing and supporting its products. The ride to the office is 30 minutes, which is the closest I have ever worked to home.

Mari is working at At One Yoga in Scottsdale. She is the manager and works at the different store locations. Mari has been practicing yoga for several years. A "perk" with this position is unlimited free yoga sessions, which she takes full advantage. Mari is also learning to be a yoga instructor. She is attending certification classes at the studio.

Joey lives on the North side of Chicago in the `Bucktown' area of the city. Joe loves to travel and is the only member of our family who has made it across the `big pond' to Europe. Joe is currently working with children in a care center in North Chicago. He enjoys caring for and teaching children.

Jessica, Justin, Jonathan & Jackson. The Watkins Family has welcomed a new member. Jordan-Ellis Carli Watkins was born November 23rd 2006. The Watkins Family, Jessica, Justin, Jonathan, Jackson and Jordan, have just moved into a new home in North Aurora, Illinois. The dust is still settling, but the initial response is 'We love it!'

Mariann visited the Watkins family in December '07 to welcome Jordan and help Jessica take care of the boys as she was recovering from Jordan's delivery. Justin has completed his first book. The title, "Flash Communication Server", is a technical how-to manual about a programming language that is used primarily on the internet. His signature in my copy of the book was simple and to the point..."To all the little people" (of course he was referring to someone else). Jonathan is busy with kindergarten and growing up. He is a "good boy" (according to his Grandma), but at times is a handful for his Mom (as all "good boys" are). Jackson is growing quickly. He loves to run through the house playing and demands constant attention from his Mom. The three kids will undoubtedly keep Mom and dad very, very busy!
